Privacy Policy – ChatBridge Translator for WhatsApp Web

ChatBridge Translator ("the extension") is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. "WhatsApp" is a trademark of its owner and is used only to describe compatibility.

Data we collect: none. The developer operates no server and does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data, message content, contacts, or usage analytics.
Your API keys. You choose one AI provider (Google Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Alibaba Qwen/DashScope, OpenRouter, or a custom OpenAI-compatible service whose address you enter). Each key is stored only in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device and is sent only to the provider it belongs to, to authenticate your requests.
Message text. When a translation is performed (automatically for incoming messages, or when you click Translate), only the text being translated is sent directly from your browser to the single provider you selected in Settings — never to the developer or any other party. That provider processes it under its own terms and privacy policy (for example the Gemini API Terms, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Alibaba Cloud, OpenRouter; for a custom service, its operator). Some free tiers (e.g. Google's) may use submitted content to improve products; use a paid key if this matters to you. The extension asks Chrome for access to a provider's website only when you save or test that provider.
Local settings (language choices, per-chat language, UI collapsed state) are stored only on your device.
License check (only if you buy a license). If paid licensing is enabled, your license key and a random installation name are sent to our payment provider Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to activate and validate it. No message content is ever sent there.
No sending on your behalf. The extension never sends WhatsApp messages; you always press Send yourself.
Removal. Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data, including your API key.
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

消息文字。翻译时（自动翻译收到的消息，或你点“翻译”时），只有需要翻译的那段文字会从你的浏览器直接发送给你在设置里选的那一个服务商，不会发给开发者或任何其他方，由该服务商按其自己的条款和隐私政策处理（自定义服务由其运营方负责）。部分免费额度（如谷歌）可能会用提交的内容改进产品；如介意，请使用付费密钥。只有在你保存或测试某个服务商时，插件才会请求访问该服务商网站的权限。
本地设置（语言选择、每个聊天的语言、按钮收起状态）只保存在你的设备上。
授权验证（仅在购买授权后）。如果启用付费授权，授权码和一个随机安装名称会发送给支付服务商 Lemon Squeezy（api.lemonsqueezy.com）用于激活和验证，绝不会发送任何消息内容。
不会替你发消息。本插件从不自动发送 WhatsApp 消息，发送键始终由你自己按。
删除。卸载插件即删除所有本地数据，包括你的 API 密钥。
